Endeavours 023 – WFF #4: Blockbuster Journalism
Hello from my snow cave.
Vancouver doesn’t know how to function in this weather. We are terrible Canadians. But one thing we are still great at is making movies and hosting festivals. This episode is the final bunch of interviews from the Whistler Film Festival. First, Raoul Bhaneja ( Touch of Pink, The Best Laid Plans) talks about working with heavyweights John Madden and Jessica Chastain in the political thriller Miss Sloane. Then, we hear from newbies in the Vancouver music scene – Leisure Club. Finally, director Leslie Ann Coles talks about transitioning from dance to film and her new documentary Melody Makers, which chronicles the birth of music journalism.
